The 2024 edition of NFPA 791, Recommended Practice and Procedures for Unlabeled Electrical Equipment Evaluation, covers recommended procedures for evaluating unlabeled electrical equipment for compliance with nationally recognized standards. Equipment must be capable of being installed in accordance with NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code® (NEC®).
NFPA 791 addresses the process in a consistent and reliable manner, thereby facilitating acceptance of results, and is a companion publication to NFPA 790, Standard for Competency of Third-Party Field Evaluation Bodies.
